Getting Started FAQs
I have no idea what I want yet, just that I want to finally take this trip. Can you still help?
That's actually most of my clients. Give me about thirty minutes on a call and I can usually tell you exactly what you need for your trip. My job is to listen to what you're drawn to and translate that into a real itinerary, not to hand you a list of links and leave you to sort it out.
What's the first step to start planning with you?
Reach out through my contact page or send me an email with your ideal travel window and who's traveling with you. From there we'll set up a call to talk through what you're picturing, and I'll take it from there.
Does Travel Planning with Lauren specialize in any specific destinations?
We specialize in planning trips for families who want real adventure and real memories, from Alaska, national parks, and the Arctic and Antarctic, to warm weather cruises and theme park getaways when your family wants sun and ease instead. Many of our favorite itineraries include Norway, New Zealand, and other destinations best explored slowly, and scenic train journeys often round out the experience, letting you see landscapes and reach places you'd miss otherwise.
Lauren holds certifications across cruise lines, expedition and river cruises, Alaska, Antarctica, and train travel, along with certifications in Accessible Travel and as an Autism Travel Specialist. And if there's ever a destination or specialty outside her wheelhouse, Lauren works with a trusted network of fellow travel advisors and will connect you with someone who's the right fit.
Do you book Theme Parks like Disney World, Disneyland and Universal Studios?
Yes. While adventure travel is where I spend most of my time, I do plan theme park vacations, including Disney World and Universal, for a limited number of families each month. Keeping that number small is intentional, it's what allows me to give each family the same level of personalized planning and attention I bring to every trip I book, rather than spreading myself too thin.
If my theme park capacity is full when you reach out, I won't leave you without options. I work with a trusted network of fellow travel advisors who specialize in theme park travel, and I'm happy to connect you with someone who can take great care of you and your family.
